Why Framed Grace
Nobody really tells you what moving into a new place actually looks like.
You picture the exciting part, and it is exciting. But then you get there, and it's boxes, and furniture that's followed you around for years. There's the side table from college you keep meaning to replace. There are pieces from my fiancé's old apartment that don't quite match mine. And there are empty walls I'd stare at with no idea where to even start. The rooms didn't feel like us yet. They just felt like a place we kept our things.
So I started pulling it together little by little. And I learned pretty quickly how expensive it is, and honestly how overwhelming, to try to make a whole house feel like home all at once.
Life doesn't pause so you can decorate, either. There's laundry piling up and dishes in the sink. There are three dogs running through the house, school mornings, and the weekly routine starting over again every Monday. Then the season changes, and suddenly it's Halloween, or Christmas is right around the corner, and I'm standing in the kitchen thinking, wait, am I supposed to decorate for that too? Some Sundays I look around and realize I barely touched the room I promised myself I'd finally finish.
Building a home has taken a lot more patience than I ever expected.
But somewhere in the middle of all that, I noticed something. I didn't need every room finished to feel grounded in it.
Sometimes it starts with one piece on the wall. Before the right furniture, before the pillows and the styling and all the little things I'm still figuring out, there's something about seeing words or imagery that point me back to God. It changes how a room feels. It reminds me what I actually want the foundation of our home to be, even when nothing else in the room is decided yet.
And that matters to me for a reason.
There was a season, after I became a mom, when the life I thought I was building looked nothing like what I had hoped for. I had to start over in more ways than one. That season changed me. It brought me to a place where I needed my faith in a much deeper way than I ever had before. Slowly, over time, I began rebuilding a life that felt more peaceful, more intentional, and more true to who I was becoming. I'm still growing in that faith every single day.
So when I hang a verse on our wall, it isn't decor to me. It's a reminder of where I've been, and of who carried me through it.
Today I get to share this life with someone who has supported me, believed in me, and cheered this business on from the very first day. Our home is far from perfectly styled. It's full of a little girl growing up way too fast, three dogs who somehow bring equal parts chaos and comfort, unfinished rooms, and busy weeks. It's lived in.
And honestly, I think that's the beauty of it.
Framed Grace was made for homes like ours, homes that are still becoming. It's for the rooms you're slowly putting together and the seasons that don't look picture-perfect. It's a reminder that meaning can come before everything matches.
Some pieces carry scripture. Some are quieter, simple imagery that points back to Him in a softer way. And some are made for the little rooms and moments we never want to forget. Every one is created with the same hope: that your home feels like a place where God is present, and where you feel like you.
I'm so grateful that something born out of my own season of rebuilding now gets to be a small part of yours.
With love,
Jenna
